We are walk-in only other than our evenings, Tuesdays & fridays, where we advise pre ordering via this link:

(To keep it short & sweet, it's kind of like ordering a takeaway). This is available from the morning (10am) you intend to eat with us so I wouldn't leave it too late in the day if you have your heart set on something.. From here you can request a seat in the notes section. Seating is not guaranteed, however we will let you know if this is the case. 

All our food is served in takeaway containers & seating is limited inside and out. We have 8 bar stools inside and 2 large benches on our front patio. You are welcome to BYOB & dogs!

Mara comes from the Scots gaelic word meaning 'the sea'.  

 

At Mara we source our seafood & produce locally and sustainably. Lamlash bay creel caught lobsters, langoustines & hand dived scallops are a firm fixture on our menu. Similarly most of the vegetables we use are locally grown. Our menu changes daily in line with seasonality and what is available.

We are a family run business, established in 2018. We are largely a two person operation with Kirsty running front of house and co-owner chef husband, Gordon, in the kitchen. Our westie dog, Mac, frequents the building too.
